About Me

Since my early twenties I had had a bad back causing serious stiffness and pain. No medical remedy was offered and I was told that I would have to “live with it”. Being limited in what exercise I could actually do, I turned to yoga. Practising the asanas encouraged my back to be more flexible and tremendously improved my posture. Becoming aware of the other aspects of yoga (pranayama, meditation, etc) has been life changing, helping me to develop a quiet inner strength which helps in my daily life.

My interest in yoga grew and when I was able to cease working as a lawyer in Stockton, I studied for the British Wheel of Yoga Teachers’ Diploma. I am now a qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher and have been regularly teaching classes for the last five years. I enjoy teaching and I work towards making the lessons enjoyable for my students too.

I live in Stockton with my husband and we have a daughter, son-in-law from New Zealand,  grandson and a new grandaughter living in Australia. My daughter also shares my love of and yoga and is training to be a yoga teacher. I am looking forward to baby yoga with my grandchildren!
